FRIENDS AROUND THE GLOBE
GRAYSON WARREN BROWN
MENTOR, COMPOSER, INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER AND AUTHOR
I met Grayson when he came to Sts. Peter and Paul, my home parish in Manorville NY in 2006. He spoke to us about being Christ for one another and then told us that he brought choirs to Tanzania. I had an opportunity to join him and his choir on a mission trip to share hope and our love of Christ through music with our brothers and sisters in Tanzania. Grayson created an opportunity for me that changed the course of my life. Without Grayson there would be no Seeds of Hope Tanzania. It was his devotion to God's people and his spirit filled life that encouraged me to create this charity. He has been at the center of it from the very beginning and I will be forever grateful to him. Grayson went home to God on July 2, 2023 and, while we are all saddened by his passing, we remember him as a gift from God who chose to use his life in service to God and his people in order to offer hope. What better way to live your life?
To do great work, you need tools. Classrooms school supplies and books. Empty stomachs hurt. They break concentration and make the future seem impossible. Providing food and water is essential part of health.
Fundraising
Our next fundraiser, our basket auction, will be Thursday May 8, 2025 at St. Mark's Community Hall in westhampton Beach. We are looking for items to raffle and make baskets.

Grayson wrote many songs that encouraged hope . Here is "If God is For Us".
Seeds of Hope Tanzania 5K/10K
Grateful thanks to all our runners, walkers and volunteers for coming out to help us have a successful 2024 5K 10K run and walk!
Its hard to believe that this race began 15 years ago when Jessica Lacetera called me out of the blue and said, "We'd like to sponsor a race and have all the proceeds go to your work in Tanzania. I was overwhelmed with gratitude! Since that day 15 years ago the race has been held because of our awesome race directors Karl and Debbie Himmelmann. Their dedication has improved our run and made it is today. Words can't do justice in thanking them for their dedication to our project all these years. This year , because of generous sponsors , runners and walkers we raised $20,083.01! God graced us with a beautiful day and Rich and Laurilie from Moriches Field Brewing Company hosted our event for the 3rd year in a row. Their involvement has really enhanced our race and our runners love having it at the brewery! We are so grateful to them for their generosity.
Our race will be help in early November next year so look on the elite feats website or on our website for upcoming news about the race and again, our most grateful thanks for your support.

Would you like to join us on our next humanitarian trip to Tanzania? Keep checking the website for updates. In the meantime here are a few photos from our most recent trip.
We leave on January 9, 2025 to fly to Kilimanjaro Tanzania for our next trip. Jim Linden, Ken ONeill, Dr. Carol Carter, Francis Brogan, Tyler Titmus and myself will make the trek together! I'm excited about the thing we have planned this trip. We will work at 2 schools to create a sustainable garden that will help provide food for the children who attend these schools. We will welcome 30 new students to St. Rose Academy to begin schooling in January. We will put the finishing touches on the newest classroom and run electricity to the classrooms. We are hoping to provide tablets or small computers to the children on this trip. We will be bringing books from local schools here on Long island to begin a library at St. Rose Academy. We will be painting and decorating the library and building shelves to be used for the books. We will also be working on a water project at St. Rose Academy that will make irrigation for the new garden easily accessible. It will be a busy and exciting trip!

Maintaining healthy, happy environments is an important, and often neglected part of aid work. We work with local community organizers closely. Take a look at past and present projects to see how you can help.
Thank you to our new sponsors for generously supporting these children to attend school at St. Rose Academy

An education can change a life! Maasai girls are frequently forced into marriage by the age of 14. Our goal is to give children an opportunity to go to school by providing things like uniforms and school fees from elementary school through high school.
