Seeds of Hope Tanzania is a nonprofit organization supporting children, families, and communities in Arusha, Tanzania. Founded in 2006, we work alongside local leaders and educators to provide education, meet basic needs, and create sustainable pathways toward independence.

Seeds of Hope Tanzania began in 2006 and has grown into a long-term commitment to children, families, and communities in Arusha, Tanzania. For more than 18 years, with the support of a dedicated community, the organization has helped build schools, provide clean water, support education, and meet essential needs—planting seeds of hope that continue to grow.

Seeds of Hope Tanzania was founded by Debi Mazura, a New York elementary school teacher at the time, after a life-changing trip to Tanzania opened her eyes to the needs of children and families living with limited resources. Now a retired educator, Debi continues to guide the mission, bringing her lifelong belief in the power of education
